Default Gentleman's Fighting Club on National Geographic's "Taboo"

Saw this on one of the Kajukenbo message boards: Dog Brother and Bono's Jeet Kune Do/Kajukenbo student Gints "Baltic Dog" Kilmanis and a couple of other Kajukenbo guys are going to be on tomorrow nights (August 22) episode of "Taboo" on the National Geographic Channel.

"In some cultures men prove their manhood by enduring pain. Get a pass into an American Fight Club, where some successful, educated males engage in physical combat to test their manhood, using anything to attack - wooden knives, soda cans, sticks, even soap-on-a-rope. On the remote Indonesian island of Sumba, hundreds of men take part in a time-honored event known as the Pasola. Facing off in two teams on horseback, they charge toward each other hurling spears."

One last bump: I saw this on Wednesday and it was pretty friggin' intense. Catch it if you get a chance when it airs again. It'll be on again after UFC 74 this Saturday.

Really? Small world. He's Professor Bono now, got promoted to 8th degree. Sigung Dean G who posts here sometimes rose up the ranks with him. Is your friend still training with him?
