Judaism doesn't recognize or acknowledge the New Testament because Christianity is nothing more than a splinter branch of Judaism. The laws of Christ were first argued in 325 AD in the Nicean Council. It was there that Emperor Constantine decided the view of the Trinity, the sabbath day, when Easter should be celebrated, and whether Christ was the of the same essence of God.

In 787 there was a second Nicean Council. It revoked the old Nicean Decree. This was the birth place of Christianity where Judaism was made into a new group called Christians.

All three religions worship the God of Abraham. They all have they different dogmas, but essentially Jehovah, Adonay, and Allah are all the same God.

Thanks Uke, I didn't go into that cause I though my post was too long as it were. That also kind of ties in with the ancient Sumerian story of Lilith which is a tale of Gilgamesh the forgotten warrior. Some good stuff there thanks.

While I do agree that religion is a tool used to entrap people's minds and control how they think and feel. I also agree that it is a money making agent and used to create disharmony, for the most part around the world..............

I do have to state that almost all religions in the world regard homosexuality as taboo and frown upon it so the statement that "religion is gay" as you put it seems to be a misnomer since religion frowns upon "being gay".

Take away religion and those same folks would find some other reason to kill each other. Instead of blaming religion per se for historical violence, the focus should be on the inherently violent nature of human beings, which ideally is mitigated and controlled by the intended teachings of most major religions.

People don't scream about seatbelts being worthless just because people still die in car accidents.

I'll agree that religion does help the unmitigated disaster known as the human race, but you have to wonder if it wasn't the cattle prod that led us in this direction. Sometimes I wonder what other excuse the world leaders would have turned to, to cause the wars that give them power, if there was no religion. It certainly isn't a driving force in communism.

It would be the same reason that underlies historical reality: Power. Communism just uses a distorted version of religion anyway. The desire for power, not the intended message of major world religions, drives humans to violence one way or another.
