Including your home country so we know where you are from.
for me so far its: UK - home country Thailand Germany Japan Philippines Malaysia Tanzania Austria Untied Arab Emirates The list is growing, im definitely a traveler but i have many other places i want to go to. a tour of europe is required soon if i can manage it. Also, do you think its important to travel? I didnt until i started and now i would say its very important to see the world as much as we can, if not for the fact that it is fun it is a great leveler and really builds character in a unique way. |

Agreed. I don't think one can boast about 'knowing' a place and its people in any meaningful way until having been there (really there) for at least a year.

UK
USA Spain Germany Switzerland France Austria Poland Czech Republic It is all dictated by work, training, and teaching. Lots of airports, lots of hotel rooms, lots of training rooms. I haven’t travelled for pleasure since I was 17, which is something I intend to remedy as soon as I can. Good thread. |

Canada (Home Country)
Japan (3 years) Singapore (2 years) Thailand (2.5 months) Korea (1 month total) Australia (1 month, but only Melbourne) USA (a week here and there) Malaysia (a weekend here and there) China (15 days) Hong Kong (pre-1997, for about 10 days) Indonesia Taiwan (Chiang Kai Shek Airport lay-over) Myanmar (two hours total - visa run in Tachileik) Traveling is amazing. It is an unbelievably eye/mind-opening activity. Working abroad is quite different from going as a tourist - going through the phases/waves of culture shock teaches you a lot about yourself.
