I watched both debates, republican and democrat. I was left with the thought that you republicans have nothing to worry about. Rush Limbaugh does not need to worry about Hilary Clinton and keep talking about her. Matter of fact, he should just retire right now, since he is really not needed anymore.

I am talking about the audiences in the front rows of the debates, which were televised nationally.

The democrats had sitting in the front row: Hippies, blacks, jews, handicapped people, union workers, school teachers and gay lesbians.

The republicans: Military, police, firefighters, evangelical white pastors, football coaches, airline pilots, cowboys, etc.

You guys have nothing to worry about! It does not matter who the democrats select. They will not beat your candidate. No way. No how. They could select Jesus Christ and he would not win, as long as they keep putting hippies, blacks, jews, handicapped people, union workers, school teachers and gay lesbians in the front row (I am talking about sitting in the front row, with the cameras seeing them) of their debates and conventions, for all to see.

Oh, it's not the issues. If you make under 80 grand a year, the policies of the republican party do nothing for you, in fact they hurt you. The republican party is all about the top 5%, and using a lot of spin to make you feel like a commie if you don't agree with them. Sending your children to Iraq so that a few very rich companies make billions of dollars, and calling it the "war on terror" despite the fact that Osama Bin Laden is actually in Pakistan.Tax cuts for the wealthy, and all programs cut for poor people. No, it's not the issues. You will vote for the republicans because of John Wayne, and that image of tough, all-americaness. As long as Democrats keep on putting the exact opposite type people on camera for all to see, you republicans have nothing to worry about. You keep the white house for the next 100 years.

this shouldnt be a surprise bro. the fact is, when a certain group of people hold power and benefit from it, they will do whatever it takes maintain their position and power. of course they want to keep the rich people on top, and maintain that gap between the rich and the poor. it is in their best interest to do so.

this is actually a fundamental theory in sociology. when certain groups benefit from certain institutions and hold wealth and power, they will do what they can to retain it. simple fact.

the rest of us have to fight for the scraps.

Yes, but you missed my point, sort of. I was speaking of the scientific fact that tall people and good looking people get treated better. They get better tables in restaraunts, quicker service from waiters, better treatment over all. It's about looks. Never mind the real, important issues.

I remember shortly after the second Bush election. Bush was on the stage with Laura, and a coworker (Who is a far right reagan republican) remarked that; "Look at Laura Bush-how poised and elegant she is! Are you glad he won, instead of John Kerry? Why, his wife looks like a WITCH!!"

And I believe that is 90% of the reason why she voted for Bush. Despite the fact that she makes about 40,000 per year, and is not a large business or factory owner.

Democrats need to get smarter, and hire their own Karl Rove type. Someone who knows how to correctly portray Democrats as being the average, true blue american. Not the subject of derision and sarcasm that the far right talk radio wants us all painted as.

Recently, I was listening to a right wing talk radio host snorting with contempt at environmentalism. Lets face facts: How did it ever get so bad that people could believe that keeping the planet as clean as possible was a BAD THING? What planet are you living on that you believe that?

If you own a rabbit, don;t you clean the cage? This is the equivelent of saying that the person who wants to clean the cage is engaging in "BAD SCIENCE" or is a "DROOLING IDIOT" for wanting to keep the rabbit's cage clean!!!

Seems to me that a lot of them don't even know what "Good Science" entails
but hey what do you expect from people who think debunkingsomeone else their theory is enough to proof their own ( probably caused by binary thinking so much americans seem to do)
Now Personally I think the enviroment is though and can recuperate(SP?)as long as we give is a change which we right now are not giving it at all.

Now I see nature prosper at places I expect it the least ( were a lot of cars tend to pass and accelerate) but what I do see too is that it isn't very varied, just one kind of tree and and muchroom(fungea)

Even a piece of unused roadgoing through forrest erea will in 50-100 years time be overtaken by the forrest provided it is left alone
So it's never too late to do something( or better not do something: polute)
