yeah but there are a lot of people wanting to believe in this stuff, im not convinced the videos are real videos that are dubbed over and made to sound like real people when its just the nutters editing it for their own benefit. like the 9/11 consipiracy vids, they brought in so called experts and showed so called documents. could have been anyone on the videos and the paper could be something they made. thats the problem.

The only serious and scientific organization studying this subject is SETI, and they have never proven anything. And I would think they would be really motivated to fake something. The fact that they haven;t means they are legitimate, and it also means that nothing tangible has been found. They linked radio dishes searching huge sections of the night sky, listening and looking. And all they have found is natural phenomena. Pulsars, radio stars, etc.

It should be understood that UFO people are a lot like religious fanatics. They have no proof whatsoever. Just a lot of false and misleading facts. Yet they have this whole "cosmology" they have invented, with Roswell, N.M. and old grainy photos of Ed Wood's frisbee being at the center of thier "theories".

I for one am glad that there are no UFOs. Damn glad! Because if they were real, we would be pissing our pants right about now. But I am not worried. The odds are there is life out there, but whatever it is probably cannot get here, anymore then we can get there. And it will probably turn out that any civilization that can perform interstellar travel would have destroyed itself long before achieving that capability.

Take biological weapons, atomic weapons and even pollution! We can't achieve anything beyond basic space flight, and yet we could take ourselves out, no problem. About 4 tons of botulism toxin would do the trick. Wipe us all out.

So any civilization that has that high level of technology probably kills itself before ever getting here.

say what you want, the videos are there for you to watch, taken by nasa, russian space agency, and mexicos defense ministry. you can deny it to yourself all you want, it doesnt change a fact. you talk about your respect for those who serve in the armed forces, and yet you are pretty quick to call them liars when they even have video tape of the incidents. keep telling yourself they are just ed woods pies, just like mike b says he can create the same footage in his basement in his sparetime on an old 1993 apple computer

even if they were ufos, why would they have to be aliens?
maybe its the chinese
part of me really doesnt care if they are alien or not. im just not that bothered until they make contact.
i think there will be intelligent life out there somewhere. in fact most scientists believe there will be many hundreds of planets supporting intelligent life. i just dont think this is it.
