    Defend.net rocks!

Giving props out to Tim for creating this site, the growth that its seen, the members who have contributed and the progress its encouraged. I used to train with Tim for a while - but it was mostly he, Pat and the other old guys kickin' my butt and teaching me lessons.

Sparring was by far the most fun! Especially with Pat. He got us working and kept upping the intensity until it was just above our level and brought the best out of us.

I'd like to train with a number of folks on the site if/when time permits - Mike B, Excessive Force, Hardball, Tant and even Dickhardman.

Paying tribute to the site and its members.

    Triangle,

I am a positive person by nature. The last thing I want or need is to take an illegal substance. I like to take an alcoholic beverage now and then but that's about it.

Paying respect to those who help you is a good thing. I guess you do it more when you can't be around them as much.

Bravo Tom. There doesn't need to be a motivation or agenda to offer people your thanks and respect.

Good thread, I would also like to echo my appreciation for the forum and all the members who bring their opinion, experience and friendship here.

I haven't particularly had a great time of things over the last 12 to 18 months, and as odd as it sounds this community has been a source of support, comradarie and familiarity. Sometimes, perhaps like you Tom, when you are away from home in unfamiliar territory, its nice to know you can log on and you guys will always be there, no matter what.

There's thats as gushing as I get without a drink but Defend.net does rock.

i found the same, its somehow reassuring. sorry to hear things havent been great for you either. I would come on here sometimes and only read and not log in but just reading alone gave me a sense of normality and comfort.

    good stuff.
    There are no second chances.

Was he wearing the red dress or the green one? jk.

Mike, I'd have to go with Frasier - also since he played Beast in the X-Men movie.

Since I usually lurk and don't post much, I guess my Cheers character would be Paul, the barfly minor character who only got a line every now and then.

It's really the outstanding members and users that make the place great...

Now quit sucking up and spread the good reputation! LOL

"In all countries where personal freedom is valued, however much each individual may rely on legal redress, the right of each to carry arms - and these the best and the sharpest - for his own protection in case of extremity, is a right of nature indelible and irrepressible, and the more it is sought to be repressed the more it will recur."

    But, I really do try...
