This girl was setup by a girl who she thought was her friend from her school. She was kidnapped and beaten by many girls while two guys stood guard outside and watched. The video only shows her getting beat by one girl because this is the only part the police have right now. There are five more parts to this video. This girl got beat for 30 minutes and she got poked in the eye and got a concussion. These people are getting charged with felony battery, false imprisonment and kidnapping and will be most likely charged as adults.

Darn straight their being charged with everything they did. I can't believe the woman reporter, "do you think this is just bullying, or is it another level". I hope the girl doesn't get any scars on her face. It's going to be hard enough for her psychologically without her feeling like she's disfigured.

I hate hearing stories like this, I simply don't get what would drive people to do something like this. Did they honestly think they were going to get away with it after videotaping it and beating the poor girl up that badly? God ****** I wish I was a super-powered vigilante sometimes.

I think they'e right to charge the girls with kidnapping, false imprisonment, battery, and any other charges that apply. I think if I was the girl that got beat, I'd gut them and send them to jail in criminal court and then bankrupt their parents in civil court. I would spend every dime I had going after them through the legal system, and I'd make sure they paid for their behavior with long jail sentences, public humiliation, and hopefully, shower rapes in prison.

Those girls were disgusting, disgusting human beings.

This is a shame. It is one of the worst things you can do to somebody. Those people went to far.

Really going after them in the court system will not do anything, they will get off with hardly a mark on their record.

The girl that got beat will get better, the best justice served will be for her to forgive them and let God deal with them. God won't serve Justice on them if she seeks revenge(going to the courts and trying to sue them is revenge). She must forgive and forget. It is not worth her time.

I think they'll probably get adult convictions and some prison time out of this. The follow up story says that the girls were retaliating for nasty myspace messages the victim had been posting, but that video is pretty brutal and a good DA will use it to get a jury's blood absolutely boiling (note to criminal defendants: if you decide to commit multiple felonies, do not videotape yourself committing them!!). At the very least those girls (and two guys) are going to be very, very sorry for quite some time, if only for themselves.

Your notion of tolerance and forgiveness, easily espoused when standing back from someone else’s tragedy, holds no weight whatsoever unless the parties concerned share your belief system. I’m making an educated guess, especially bearing in mind their appalling actions, that the protagonists of this crime don’t. So whilst your notion of faith in a higher power may resonate with you, it will mean jack shit to stop these scumbags ruining someone else’s life in the future, or serve any justice to this girl, her family and her nightmares.

There may or may not be an afterlife, but we don’t live in it right now, we live in a world where crimes like these will ruin a life – this life. Your policy of justice in the next dimension will do absolutely nothing to prevent crimes of atrocity such as this in the future.

I agree that what happened is completely brutal and should not go unpunished. Which it won't but it doesn't mean your a Saint if you go and ruin their lives also. It is just as bad.

This is where we get confused in life that we want justice so badly that we will ruin another persons life to get it. How is that justice. Turing the other cheek is not what I am saying. Letting them know what they did is so wrong and forgiving them heartfully will actually hit them the worst.

Bad people prey on good people precisely because good people think like this. They make easy marks for bad people. The fact is, someone who is inclined to do bad things is going to have a much easier time doing it against people who are willing to forgive, forget, and leave it all up to God. That means they are going to be rewarded in the only sense they care about - immediate gratification.
