Default Aquarium

I need to get more fish...

so far I have an albino plecostomus that I adopted from my girlfriend (she named him...Mr. Postacolumus) and a an asian loach.

The goddamned pleco, Mr. Postacolumus...he stares at me with his long whiskers, and his cold dead eyes (it's like sleeping in a room with a zombie-fish-Wilfurd Brimley monster)...and I'm begining to wonder if he's not plotting to eat me in my sleep.

Any advice on additions to the tank that may make it seem more...friendly?

I love those...I remember the Mexican restaurant I've been going to since I was a kid had one that I'd always run up to and watch...unfortunately if I put one of those in my freshwater tank...it would die.

African chichlids.

Why African Cichlids?

They'll make your pleco seem friendly, assuming they don't eat him.

Actually you can get a pea pod puffer and put him in fresh water. But he'll kill anything less aggressive than him in the tank including your loach.

TTE's suggestion will kill everything in your tank.

First tell me what size you tank is I need to know that before anything.

Dude, have you got crabs?.....

nah, couldn't think of any jokes. Seriously, in the aquarium I used to have I put a few crabs down there at the bottom. They would hide out all day, watching the terrain, then when feeding time came they rushed out and busted anything in their way to get the shrimp powder that fell to the bottom of the tank. Endless entertainment, highly recommend it.

It's just a 3x1x3.

I don't know what would try to kill Mr. Postacolumus...but my guess is it would be a bad idea for anything with fins. I'm tempted to rename that bad motherfucker the "sturgeon general".
