    How to Grow a Soldier

    How to Grow a Soldier

The ingredients necessary to grow children into adults willing to do violence to other human beings

    How to Grow a Soldier

As a person with both behavior management expertise and over three decades in the martial arts, I may have a slightly different perspective than the average person does. Let's put a completely fictitious society together designed to increase violence in their children to the point where they are willing to kill other human beings.

"For minor anomalies corporal punishment can be used. Thus demonstrating to the child violence can be used to control another human being. If corporal punishment doesn't show positive results drugs and intense therapy may get the child back into a more controlled aggressive behavior needed for the society's combative needs. In extreme cases the child will be removed from the home and placed in a detention area with other children with training anomalies."

You actually wrote this and recommend it? Beat the kids, give them drugs, isolate them from their families all to make better soldiers?? Have you ever been IN the military?

We already have this, it's called the inner city.

This piece is meant to be ironic, right?

Its a parody, written as a critical commentary on the way you view some areas of society cultivating their young, and the subsequent violence inherent in the outcome?

This is a written as observational sarcasm, right?.....

I sincerely hope so, because if I thought for one minute you were serious, I'd probably be making a few phone calls.

    You got it Mike!

I wrote this after visiting Dave and Busters only one year after visiting them previously and was shocked at the increase of violence and realism in the video games

This is not just the inner city. It's our entire society. Look at the terms I used in the article on this "ficticious socieity" and apply them to the technology we have now. If anyone needs help with the transition I'll be happy to explain further

I believe if I write an article explaining why something is bad it lands of deaf ears, however, if I write an article on how to do something negative utilizing reverse psychology, now those deaf ears begin thinking

    "Wait, we're already doing this"

"Willing to Kill Human Beings" is fine.

but "Willing to do it when Authority Points Its Finger" is not so fine.

Lessoned learned next time I post this article to another forum, don't give out such straight answers next time and make people think more

The whole pupose was I parelleled (sp) this society

    Training monitors = TV

Interactive training monitors = video games

    Own militia = gangs

We are presently teaching our children and therefore the future members of our society not only to be violent, but to be desensitised (sp) to the violence around them
