June 6th
Today is the 64th anniversary of the invasion of Normandy.
Operation OVERLORD began with Allied Airborne Infantry jumping into Enemy held territory to disrupt communications. At dawn the invasion was under way.

Yes, and most of them were armed with the now antiquated but historical m1 carbines or m1 garrands.
