Default Graduation!

Well, Harvard had their graduation ceremonies yesterday and a student I've been working with for the past four years finally fulfilled that goal.

Got me thinking: Y'all have any good graduation (from anything) stories to share?

Yeah... on the 31st of May this year I graduated Cum Laude (would have been Magna Cum Laude if not for the fiasco surrounding my senior project and our fledgling ****-up Internal Review Board) from Westminster with a Bachelor's of Science in Clinical Psychology. I have since been accepted into their Masters of Psychology Program, from which I WILL get my LCPC. I also intend to get a PhD or a PsyD eventually, or maybe just an APRN with a specialty in psych, depending on how much the Fed is willing to cough up. And if anyone wants to get me hooked up with Quantico...I think I'd be great as a Behavioral Psychologist/Forensic Psychologist working on violent crimes...as it happens to be a hobby of mine.

Oh...and today I learned how to take calls from major railroads at the crisis call center I work at. Now I don't just have to book appointments for substance abuse and mental illness no mo'!

Movin' on up...to ta east side...to a de-luxe apartment in the skkkkyyyyy

Congratulations on that.

No stories from me, Education really wasn't a strength of mine I'm afraid.

Ah no, like tutoring her to help her with her classes and papers and tests and whatnot.

Supermarket work is much too difficult for me, I admit.

Well, when I got my undergraduate degrees I was just pretty much drunk all day. I remember that Mr. Rogers was our commencement speaker, so all the pot heads were just freaking out all day.

When I finished my masters degree I couldn't be bothered with the whole 'ceremony' thing so not much to tell there.

On the last day that I attended a school in the Muslim quarter of Xi'an, not really graduating just leaving, the whole school turned out and gave me a nice certificate and some gifts and took pictures and just really made me feel accepted in that warm and generous way that Chinese folks have. I'll never forget that.
