Northern Ca catches on fire almost every year. That's what happens when the tinder gets dry and you throw a spark on it.

Being up here in the Redwoods we tend to get more rain than most of the state but conditions are perfect for wild fires and the recent (dry) lightning has started hundreds of fires around the state.

It wouldn't be a big deal to me about either topic but they closed down the only road south and the only road east (among others) so the only way we can go is north... Unless you have a seaworthy mode of transport.

Sucks to be out here on the edge of nothing.

There was a helicopter crash a few days ago that killed half a dozen firefighters.

The burns and back burns to contain the wildfires got out of control but everything in my area is out for now.

There are still dozens (or hundreds?) of fires out of control in northern Ca...
