Default Great Movie Scenes II

Bearing in mind the last thread consisted largely of Dick Hardman's Pink Floyd vids, thought I would start fresh.

Last Man Standing: Bruce Willis. Walter Hill behind the camera, Ry Cooder on the guitar. Whiskey, Beer, Hookers, Gangs and Guns. What's not to like?

And shoot-outs like this one.....

Thumbs up The Hunted.

This one wasn't bad if you're into Sayok kali...

Without a doubt Tant, the film has some of the best knife work I have seen. I especially like the way they have not tried to make it overly theatrical and sexy, but kept it raw and efficient.

I'm not a massive fan of Sayoc, for my own reasons, and it is somewhat ironic that the film outlines the danger of such training falling into the wrong hands.

To be honest I feel much the same way about MMA. I know personally some seriously deranged individuals that were enrolled at our local "SD Academy"...

Lets just say they had their own less than honorable motives.

(No disrespect intended to serious athletes who are not thugs.)

Few things are more dangerous than intent.

Isn't the motive learning to fight for self-defense or competition?

I've heard of Marines, Sailors and Soldiers going toe to toe to blow off steam and to engage in friendly competition.

When you say thugs, is there a particular athlete that does this? There was a popular MMA athlete in the UK I recall who had some money laundering charges or something like that. The word thug makes me think of rap gangster terminology, but I could be wrong.

More like a bully with a bad drug problem. He wasn't a typical player. Dysfunction defines a thug...
