My understanding is that originally, there were no nunchaku kata. THere is a tape containing a good one by Fumio Demura, published in the U.S. If there is anything on the internet, you might find it by using www.google.com - however I would recommend Fumio Demura's tape, the kata is good as far as I can tell.

It is easy to use a chaku keep you head low and keep on swinging in different direction like a helicopter. You get a lot of casualties around you. Promise this is effective just make sure you will swing slower everytime it gets to your direction. If you have no chaku use a belt.
Effective against multiple opponents sure thing bro!

Ok not just for swinging but for trapping, choking, and locking. You could choose to types of it. Rope is for more accurate locking, choking, traping, etc. And chains for giving extra pain in every one of those mentioned ways it pinches or pressing in skins. Anyway I hear there are nunchaku forms in Silats in the southeast asia. Silat is a martial art that originied in the southeast asian region, around Indonesia and Malaysia to Philippines.

There is a great instructional video for nunchucks at www.nandargroup.com/Streetwise.htm that teaches you all the blocks, striking, dragging, hand spins etc.. It has a section on street fighting how to block and protect yourself. But he also, has a special edition on how to build custom made nunchucks to fit your build and hand size, which helps elimnate you injurying yourself with them. It also talks about the different cords vs nylon and chains. Check it out!
