Lets all team up on ROY!!!

Looks like I've become the forum whipping boy here! All the arguments directed at me seem to be insults, blah, blah! Their are a few mature members who can be civil, alot of you seem to enjoy picking on me. Roy is this, Roy is that, Roy is a troll! Well atleast I don't hide behind a screename. What the hell is a troll any way? someone who is hated on a forum.

So what if I'm loyal to Gracie Jiu Jitsu/BJJ and I happen to think other styles are inferior by themselves. I have my opinions

i think the reason you're getting flamed is because you DO come across as being a total newbie to Gjj. Anyone that has such faith in a fighting system really hasn't cross trained with anyone else much. I spar with a black belt in judo and a former college wrestler and i've yet to make this guy tap. Also, what i've noticed is the ppl who are usually so gun-ho about gjj and say it's the best and all others suck compared to it are usually the white belts.

If the recent sak vs gracie(s) fights have taught me anything is that it's the FIGHTER not the system that usually makes the differnce. And gjj does have weaknesses. Look at most sak fights....he turns his back (a big no-no in gjj) to the gracies left and right, yet he is still able to !submit! and defend.
And i think anyone who has half a brain would say that Silvia would just totally KILL royce.
really man, i have no beef with you and if others want to flame you then that's their business, but i'm telling you what you seem to me.

    jason... perfectly said.

he has NO idea that all of his (roy's) great revalations were stated and argued YEARS ago.

rookie/newbie is an understatement. either that or he's a major TROLL that has totally sucked us all in. i'm siding with the latter, since it's really difficult for me to believe that people like that still exist.

You guys keep missing the ****ing POINT!!!!! Jesus christ!!!!!
I'm saying WITHOUT CROSSTRAINING just style vs. style. GJJ/BJJ are the best.

And yes I do feel Gracie Jiu Jitsu is superior to BJJ. Thats is my opinion! But BJJ is still second and every thing else is a distant 3rd.

No roy you're missing the point. The point is there is no such thing as style, anyone with any sense crosstrains...all the professionals do. So calling gjj/bjj the best is just stupid. If a straight bjj person went into the ufc now days they would probably be in for a long day.

Please explain the difference between BJJ and GJJ...Yes the better your teacher the better you will be...Just because of experience rolling with a good fighter.

I'm sorry roy but I've met people in the past who would say things like "the gracies do things this way, and other bjj people do things a different way" those people were almost always the beginners who really didn't know what they were talking about...

Jitz in Brazil did start with the gracies, but when you say GJJ what your really mean is what's taught at the Torrance academy and affiliated academies.
By the way since the gracie family itself is no longer undefeated your post makes even less sense

Do you have Rorion's picture next to your bed...would you take him out for drinks and then back to your place if you had a chance?

If I could only train one Martial Art? It would be JKD Concepts with Inosanto. I know that's cheating because he has 15 different arts incorporated into it. Including BJJ (that was for Roy to feel good). But, JKD Concepts is technically ONE art.

    Attention everyone:

Please, lets all agree with Roy so that he doesn't Spazz out and cry.
As you can see, with this thread, all he wants to do is whine.

Everyone has gone to school with a boy like this.
Every play ground has a Wuss.

You hit him and he runs to the teacher,
    crying and whining.

    Let's all play nice now.
