I converted to Shintoism, my gods do not demand anything, and in return for respect for them, they give us good fortune
If I need something I just give a particular god an offering
They don't ask me to follow some outdated rules too

Man I feel great, wish Kevin told me before of Shinto

Why wouldn't I admid Shinto is Shinto?
The fact that I converted to it doesn't mean it is anywhere present in Judo
Instead I pointed out that others that still greet the tatami and the opponent do fine even a small country like mine
Boxing is a US martial arts but the rest is devided over the rest of the globe
Judo is small in your country because no money can be made with it same holds true for WKF (formerly WUKO) Karate
Introduce international Judo prize fighting and the US will excel in it

BTW in which court do you want to sue the IJF, the Nat Judo org won't do it for you, they don't agree with you
Winning it in your country would mean no int IJF tournaments will be held there anymore
And other countries won't react too good to an american DEMAND
You want to force those countries to BOW to your wishes
But that's normal in your eyes, since "the american fighting men"should never have to bow for others so others have to bow for him

Shinto is a great religion, better than "your"christianity but it has no place in Judo nor should you try to put it in so you can just get rid of bowing

On the other hand christianity is forced upon us, going for dinner with 20 people of which 3 christians, and we are forced into a moment of silence so the reli people cn pray, 17 people are forced to keep silence for 3 peoples wishes, as if you can't pray when others speak

Religion should instill cooperation and respect, especially to others beliefs.

I find that Zen (The religion that isn't) is good for this.

It makes me sad when people forget the purpose of a religion and begin to see it as a seperate entity. When you do that you begin to assign value and worth to it, and then you begin to assign value and worth to everything in hierarchy.

Nothing is worth anything, not even ourselves. We are all just component parts of a big entity and are essentially the same. I may not look like a pencil but from my body you can make several pencils.

Toudy, do you have any rescources on Shinto, I'd like to learn more about it.
