Request for assistance



I am doing research for an upcoming book and would be grateful for help tracking down martial artists with unusual skills or abilities.

Examples include ¡V

- Chi-Kung practitioners able to demonstrate the use of chi

- Martial artists able to perform extra-ordinary acts

- Those that involve the supernatural in their art (such as possession, healing, calling on spirits to assist etc.)

- Little known fighting arts



Although I have had some success so far, I really would appreciate any help members of this forum could give. As you can imagine, locating the sort of people the book is about is proving somewhat difficult (the Yellow Pages has no listing for Martial Arts - Rare and Unusual! ), and most of those we have interviewed keep a low profile. As I¡¦ve pretty much exhausted my own list of contacts in Taiwan, China, and Japan I appeal to you, my fellow martial artists, for help!



Oh, for the record, I¡¦m not the author, just a researcher.

Yellow bamboo......lol.

iv seen some martial artists do some incredible things, but, its explaned pretty easily by science and psychology.

allot of arts involve "healing" practices....but that doesn't mean they call spirits or what not.

perhaps you should call a psychic hotline, they should be able to give you all the information you need.

thanks for your reply's.

your on the right lines with the psychic hotlines. I am not saying these things are real or not (we are not making a judgement), however we do know people claim to have super human abilities. Alot of these things can be explained, i agree. The purpose of the book is to explore these phenomena-that is all.

As i have said, we have already found some of these people in other country's and am looking for people to help point me in directions where i could find more help.
