Default FIGHTBACK (WSD) seminar in Tucson, 4/23

Derived from close Quarter Combat and Counter Terrorism courses taught to the U.S. Special Forces, FIGHTBACK offers women an alternative in proven, practical techniques that will save lives.

FIGHTBACK is the most comprehensive class that is offered. Conventional Martial arts usually take years of practice, and many times will not work on the street, they are designed for sport. The police are responsible for upholding the law, and sometimes the law comes before your personal safety. A law cannot be enforced until it is broken, and then it is too late. In this class you will be given many tools that you can use to help you survive.

FIGHTBACK is a fun, fact filled, hands-on approach to self-defense. Taught by Jocelin Meesenburg, this class is designed to teach all the basic skills necessary to protect yourself, your children, loved ones and friends. Basic self-defense is a necessary skill, one that hopefully you will never have to use.

Jocelin Meesenburg, Certified Personal Protection Instructor, is a graduate of New Mexico State University, where she first started studying the art of self-defense. She has been studying in the martial arts for over 7 years and is a 3rd degree black belt in Budo Taijitusu. Jocelin has studied with Warriorschool for over 6 years. She is a certified instructor in many Warriorschool courses, including Fightback, and has taught many seminars in Phoenix and the surrounding areas. Jocelin’s desire to educate herself has grown along with her desire to help educate others in the art of self-defense. Due to the overwhelming need, she has dedicated herself to the task of heightening an individual’s skills to survive whatever situation they might encounter.
In this FIGHTBACK course you will learn how to recognize danger and determine which situations require force, or reason. Signs of danger and levels of personal awareness are taught first, because the best way to win a fight is not to get into one. Next you will learn the basic physiological responses to fear and zero-sum conflict (a situation in which your life is in danger.) This will help you determine what will work for you, in a situation where you are scared, and fighting for your life. The most important thing you will learn is risk reduction and the survival mindset.

You will also learn how to fight, without using speed or strength, using fear and adrenaline to your advantage. You will learn how to fight for your various situations, including inside of your cars, from your bed, and how to escape from being grabbed, pinned or threatened with weapons. Plus, you will learn how to use everyday objects as weapons. With all of these tools, even when you have no items in your personal possession, you will never be unarmed. The knowledge you gain from this class can make the difference between life and death in a situation where survival is the key.

FIGHTBACK will be held in Tucson, AZ on April 23rd, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. The fee is $40.00 for this one day, all-inclusive course that includes an hour break for lunch. Due to limited space, preregistration and a $20 deposit is requested. Ask us about group and family discounts and payment plans. Please bring loose fitting clothing, and open mind, and a determined spirit.
