Handgun Use for Home Defense
Thinking about getting a gun? Already have a gun? Then you’d better know how to use it correctly because if you don’t, it’s worthless. In fact, it could even be used against you. Prepare to defend yourself and your loved ones with this professionally designed course for all levels of gun owners, including those who have never shot a handgun before to the very experienced gun handler. This course is for anyone who is interested in taking a proactive approach to self-defense.
Here are some life-saving topics that will be covered:
• What if the attacker is holding your baby? When to shoot and when not to shoot
• Think someone’s in your house? How to safely go room-to-room to ensure you and your family’s safety
• How to keep the gun in your hands and out of the bad guys hand
• Your back door is kicked in, you jump out of bed now what do you do? Learn how to get your gun ready when your life is on the line
• No time to shoot? Learn tactics you can use as a last resort
This course is only 3.5 hours in length but will simulate real-life scenarios. The best part is that you’ll be put in situations where you’ll be firing a very realistic gun that shoots rubber BB’s. It’s a very safe way to simulate a very dangerous situation.

Stanley,
Forgive me for being abrupt, but it's part of my job as a moderator here to figure out whether people are spamming or genuinely contributing. You have no other posts here, so I can see that you registered specifically to promote your event. That's not generally how we do business here. However, you posted it in the appropriate area, so I'll let that part slide. I would like to inquire as to your qualifications to present this material, however, since you're asking our forum body to trust you with their instruction in a potentially deadly endeavor. As we don't know you from any other posts, I would greatly appreciate it if you helped give people here a better picture of who you are and what you're about. Please understand, I am not assuming you aren't qualified. I'd just like to learn a little more about you and what you do, where you learned, and what your organization is all about without having to skip around to another website.

Ordinarily, members here take a little time to get familiar with the forum and its members before advertising their events, and this kind of thing isn't required. Like I said, please don't read any kind of talking down into this request - just the opposite. If your courses are on the level and your instructional quality is strong, I'd love to be able to direct folks to you. Thanks in advance.

Hello I am Stanley Phillips, did not mean to cause a problem on the forum, Tim told me to post it here, so I did. I am not trying to cry wolf or scare anyone. I train police and military around the country in combatives and shooting tactics. you can talk to Tim about my qualifications. and you can check out my web site, www.closequartertraining.com

Fair enough. Thanks for giving us a brief rundown. Like I said, it's no problem and you kept it in the correct area so no big deal. I hope to see you around the regular parts of the board - especially the Urban combatives and Tactical Military and LEO sections. We could always use some good input.

Incidentally, given your background, it would be really beneficial for me (and I'm sure many other people here as well) to see you on some of the threads dealing with legal carry issues.

Good to have you on board, and good luck with the seminar.

I give Stanley Phillips my highest recommendation as an instructor. As a former police officer and Ranger in Vietnam, he has a wealth of knowledge to share earned from real world experience. He has taught courses to some of the highest levels of law enforcement and military.

I've taken two shooting courses from him and I'm really looking forward to taking his new home invasion course.

Welcome to the forums Stan!

Thanks again, and please keep us all up to speed on these events. I'd love to participate if I'm ever in your neck of the woods.

Greetings to Mr. Phillips.

Welcome aboard.

As an amatuer practical shooter I'd jump at an opportunity to pick your brain
(so to speak).

I look forward to reading more from you.
