Tanka for my mistress?

I have the pleasure this year to work on the farm with a very well endowed young woman of Japanese decent. I saw her in town the other day crossing K. st. The sun was low and shone through her long skirt. It quite literally took my breath away. I've been fairly obsessed with "Melony" since that day and even found Kanji to express the emotions and desires I feel for her. She seems receptive to my simple gifts like the pumpkin bread I made from scratch, a book mark with a number of affectionate Kanji and other services. I sharpened a couple of knives for her and applied first aid when she cut her finger on one of them.

I found an old Tanka (31 sylable short poem) that describes the way I feel. It looses it's lyrical beauty in the translation and hardly sounds poetic in English but I think it's got the Yojou to express feelings beyond the words themselves...

"I wish I were close

To you as the wet skirt of

A salt girl to her body.

I think of you always"

Yamabe no Akahito (8th C)

What do you think? Would sweet words be enough to seduce you?

Yamabe No Akahito is considered to be one of the two great poets of his time.

I saw a beautiful girl in town and had a primal reaction of lustful desire. Bad on me!

My wife has had more than 10 MAJOR operations in the last nine years. Three Cancerous tumors and reconstruction, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and now takes two kinds of narcotic (pain) medication, oral chemo and other medication to counteract the side effects of the drugs she needs to stay alive. We stopped sleeping together almost three years ago because of her fragile condition...

She knows about my weakness for the fine young hardbodies I work with...and now so do you...

That doesn't mean I don't love my wife or that I would ever persue my carnal cravings.

Don't Judge me. Just enjoy your life every day and take a moment once in a while to appreciate the beauty all around you.

Go write a poem.
