Kevin Reeve from OnPoint Tactical Tracking School will be travelling to Phoenix to teach a Weekend Scout Class. The class will pack as much Apache scout training into a weekend as time allows.
The class will teach movement, camoflauge, awareness, ambushes, reconnaisance and tactical skills used by warrior native cultures for centuries and in elite military units worldwide today. Participants will have the opportunity to practice infiltration and reconnaissance against real targets. Expect a very hands-on approach to learning these night operations skills. Class runs Friday January 27th through noon on Sunday the 29th in Phoenix. Tuition is $250. http://www.onpointtactical.com/ See you there!!! Yael Last edited by treelizard; 12-29-2005 at 02:11 PM. This was a really awesome class, with tons of skills and training packed into the weekend. We had a really good group with mostly women actually, but some kick ass guys too including two LEOs. We learned team movement, detecting ambushes, several good traps, basic bird language (how to detect human presence by listening to and observing bird behavior), survival, camo, recon, counter-tracking, invisibility, stealth walking, wide angle vision, brain states, sensory awareness, the list goes on and on. We ended with some ideas for detecting traps, trip lines and booby traps. We also talked about logical order of thinking. But my favorite were the field exercises. My quads are incredibly sore from doing lots of sink-and-dives while crawling around in camo.
