looking for anyone who has used them, trying to select a somewhat economical one. But so far no luck, been reading reviews on Midway.com and I guess the old maxim holds true with optics "You get what you pay for"
I have no experiance using on. Most HUD type sites I reviewed under 300$ seem to have problems with the adjustments screws , Since the site will be mounted via a weaver base onto a Ruger .44mag semi-auto carbine I am worried about losing zero. I have been asked to help do some Hog control, but the critters are only moving at night, so I wanted something that would work in low-light situations (we will be spotlighting with a red q-beam) should be able to get them to come in under a hundred yards, so at this point I am allmost considering going with some type of illumenated open sites, I know its not exactly military or law-enforcement in nature, but I am hoping to get some input from the field. |

I have used the EO Tech sight, as well as the ATN holo sight. For the money, the ATN sight is a much better buy. I've never had any zero shift, even though I take it off the gun and swap it out with a standard carry handle from time to time. Whenever I put it back, it's on target. It's not as robust as the EOTech, but as someone who's notoriously hard on equipment, I've never had any problems with it. And since it goes for around half the cost, it's definitely a better deal in my opinion. Now if you were bashing down doors or chasing bad guys, I'd say sprend the extra money and get the EOTech. But the ATN one is made to order for what you're doing. Here's a link:
