Default Terror plot in the UK foiled.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20070201/wl_csm/onewplot

Suspects planned to kidnap, torture and sever the head of an English civillian in the UK - record the activity and release it on the net. I wouldn't be suprised if some copy kats try that here in the states.

Any responses from our fellow Englishmen? or from our Urban combatives crowd?

You are so right. Criminals never do anything wrong in Texas.

You tit.

Back to topic.

Apparently the extremists planned to capture a Muslim soldier (they had a specific one in mind) whilst he was on leave. Luckily the security services and police were one step ahead of the game.

Phew!

That took 2 minutes. Sorry if one or two refer to the same incident. There were so many I got mixed up!

Just type the words "shooting" and "Texas" into any old search engine and see a massive array of crime involving guns.

An armed society is a violent society.

But these will all be ignored by the eedjuts who make their mind up on an issue BEFORE they look at the evidence. Those Sheeeeit Kickin' Red Necks ain't noted for their brain power! No Bubba!

Haw haw haw!

http://www.parliament.uk/commons/lib...9/rp99-056.pdf

From the statistics from the UK.

8% involved a fire arm.

a third involved a sharp object.

Seems people find a way to kill people no matter if gun are "unavailable" I wonder how many of the 8% killed by guns wished they could have had an equalizer.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/4749940.stm
So how do people get murdered with gun if they are illegal of there?

Anyways, the real reason we got guns is not for each other, it's for when the government starts deciding what brand of tea we're allowed to buy.

Bri, the media here in the states is largely liberal and while stories of injustice always sell more papers and grab more viewers, the stories of justice are left untold.

A petite Asian lady, Holly Mong, got ambushed by three armed car jackers. They targeted the wrong woman; it just so happens she was wearing plain clothes, was off duty and carrying her pistol. She killed two of them and left the last one hiding.

http://www.click2houston.com/news/6633149/detail.html

Jewelry store owner Lance Thomas got robbed once, ambushed and shot at on two other occasions, getting hit (fortunately non-lethal). He got six confirmed kills for his trouble as he was a very skilled marksman.

This guy has skills

I know of other instances where they've saved lives too.

I see your point about firearms, Bri but you can't discount the instances (not widely covered) where they have saved lives.

Back to the original topic and a fresh direction, how can today's MA practitioner work on defenses against ambushes while on foot?

or in their car?

Scenarios can include everything from emtpy-handed, improvised weapons to firearms.

Uh huh, I'd bet you have a much better chance snatching up unarmed wusses who already gave up thier right to defend themselves than those who havent.

Get miffed bozo, doesn't bother me...I have the right to bear arms...YOU don't, take it up with your Queen.

Not to mention gave up their right to privacy with three-bamillion cameras taking their pictures every day.

Anyway, this is our country Boar, and that's theirs. I guess they can be slaves, and we can be savages.

Yep something about being armed and having the balls to use those weapons allowed us to keep our country safe from the idiots who run his country and disarmed him and his countrymen.

Apparently you missed the recent story where a Samurai sword wielding good Samaritan saved a bunch of cops in a bad spot by charging their assailants and routing them with his illegal sword.

The cops aren't any better off...just having a weapon when issued ain't the same as a culture that grows up hunting and shooting...see the war that won us our freedom..and note BEING a weapon using culture is what allowed us to spank those ONLY issued a weapon (and trained to use it by the govt) when the govt wants 'em to have one...no amount of range time equals a lifetime of experience.

Samurai superhero saves cops
by DANIEL BATES - Thursday, January 11, 2007

He's a mysterious crusader who suddenly appears from nowhere, he helps the police catch criminals, then disappears into the night.

No, we're not talking about Batman or Superman, and the location isn't Gotham City or Metropolis.

We're talking about 'The Flashing Blade' from Tyneside.

The enigmatic hero struck as two unarmed detectives tackled a violent gang of criminals in a street in South Shields.

The villains were armed with knives, chains and a hammer. The detectives had only their wits.

Suddenly a man appeared and shouted: 'Leave him alone, he's a police officer!'

He ran up to the criminals, slashing frantically with the 3ft sword and caught one of them on the arm.

His actions panicked the gang and the police were able to arrest three of them.

Officers could only give his description as white, in his 40s, or medium build, about 5ft 10ins with a moustache.

Detective Inspector Peter Bent, of South Shields CID, said although The Flashing Blade had helped police, he couldn't condone his actions.

He said: 'There is no doubt this person assisted the police.

'He said to the people involved in the incident: 'Leave him alone, he's a police officer', and started swinging his Samurai sword.

'It needs to be said we cannot condone vigilantism or people running around with swords or weapons.

'It will be up to the Crown Prosecution Service whether they see his actions as justified or going beyond reasonable force.

'At the same time we cannot get away from the fact that he has come the aid of a police officer and may well have prevented a police officer from being seriously harmed.'

Three men aged 29, 42 and 43 were remanded in custody by South Tyneside magistrates yesterday over attempting wounding charges.

The injured man didn't require treatment.

..........................................

Notice it says the POLICE were armed with only their wits....in other words they were completely helpless.

But us Brits don't keep pushing our own culture down another country's throat, clearly pretending that our rules somehow prevent violent crime.

Your rules don't. So shut up!
