It's notable that he idolizes Norman Podhoretz (author of World War IV who advocates a unilateral air assault on Iran). The author (what do you expect? He writes for the New Yorker) states: "Podhoretz is so untempered a neocon that he makes Paul Wolfowitz, Bush's former Deputy Defense Secretary, and a key architect of the Iraq invasion, seem almost a moderate realist."
