Go to Jitti's Gym in Bangkok, train, and get contacts to other places to train around Thailand from Jitti. They train a lot of farang there, so walk ins are cool. See website below.
best of luck, http://www.thailandroad.com/jittigym/jintro.htm |

look at my "question about schools" thread. Has a few links to different camps.
The fairtex camp looks good but I think I might stick to the WMC camp. Its about the same price but it seems like more of a professional business. |

I have a write up on a bunch of camps I have trained at on my website at www.honourtkd.com or you can email me and I'll tell you all I know. My favorites were Lamai Muay Thai in Koh Samui and ISS in Pattaya.

Hi there!
Thank you in advance for helping me out! I will keep it quick and simple: I am planning to spend a year training in thailand, does anybody know some good schools in thailand who train foreigners? Has anybody here spent some considerable time training in thailand? Thank you very much for any good advices and hints! Sincerely, Finred |

Talk to damian mavis. Hes in thailand right now, hes has quite a bit of experience with MT in thailand, so your best bet is talking to him.
You could also search the site for threads on this, there are quite a few. |

Thank you for your fast responses!
I will definitely contact him! Is there a web site of this school you mentioned? What do you guys think of the Lanna Muay Thay Camp in Chiang Mai? Please keep on telling me some schools if anybody else knows some! Thanks to all of you! |

I have written some comments on Lanna in my "Life in Thailand" thread buried deep in this forum (Part 2).
The main ones that I have heard recommended for extended visits are: Lanna (Chiang Mai) Siam No.1 (Chiang Mai) Pedro Villalobos (Chiang Mai) Sidyotong (Pattaya) WMTC (Koh Samui) and the one in Ubon Ratchatani whose name I can't recall, but will likely be my choice when I go back, after a stay at Lanna of course. and for something different, Santo Davvy (Nokweed's brother) is trainering at a camp in Pai, which I thought would be an "interesting" experience. I did a day there, but couldn't imagine living life there longer than a short visit. |

Thanx for your answers!
The camps you mentioned are all very interesting and it will be a hard choice to make! Anybody been somewhere? Right now I am tending to go to Chiang Mai, because I heard a lot about how beautiful and cool a city it is... The most impotant criteria is the quality of the camp and its instructors! I really wanna spend some rough time over there, learning a lot and not just spend a year over in a camp for foreigners! So quality training is the most important thing! Please feel free to tell me of your opinions and experiences!!! to alexjxaver: Where does he fight out? I did't really understand, I am sorry.... Where does he train? Do they train foreigners there? Sincerely, Finred |
