![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Anyhow, the TKD guy throws some solid kicks at Sudo that barely miss due to Genki's elusive footwork. Sudo has an unorthodox style and tries scissor kicks and other moves on the TKD guy and Genki slips a few times. The TKD guy throws low roundhouses, but they are snapping kicks, without hips behind them so Genki dismisses them and moves. The TKD guys holds his own for a round, with pretty good kick counters - mostly spinning wheel kicks and turning side kicks. But once he gets inside, his punching is mostly shoulder with no hip. Sudo sees that the guy drops his hands after rechambering from his kick counters and times a spinning back fist that KOs the TKD guy early in the 2nd round. Anyone else see this fight? It makes TKD look better than that other clip of that European championship; again it still exposes traditional TKDs weaknesses for infighting and low kicks. |

![]() | Genki is pretty talented though so this could have had something to do with it. Not one to really defend TKD but this could just be another example of the practitioner. |
