Hey Everybody,

Ajarn has 1 down, 50 to go for 2004.
St Louis was great, then I went down to Houston and worked out at Tims Mousel's. (Rained the whole time. That part sucked.)
But still I cant thank him enough.
Hope everybody in Australia and New Zealand has hard training.

Default Going alone

Hi all,

I am interested in going to the Ajarn Chai Seminar here: Mar.27-28 Rosemere, QC CANADA Norm Grimard 450-437-4114.

I have some Muay Thai experience, my trainer is certified with the TBA. I know I will enjoy the experience but I am trying to find someone to bring with me. Unfortunately the other folks I train with are too strapped for cash to make the trip.

I guess my question is what happens if I show up alone? Is there a good chance that I will find a partner to work with? Or does everyone usually go in pairs? I know factors like the size of the turnout etc are hard to measure but does anyone have experience in going to a seminar like this alone?

Thanks

Default Not to worry.

Hello Caddock,

Not to worry. Norm Grimard will make sure that you get a good work out.
This is not an uncommon occurrence, quite a few people have shown up without a training partner or somebody comes with an uneven number in their groups.

Ajarn will generally mix and match people sometimes so new people have a decent seminar experience.

Tell Khru Norm Dave Rogers says hi from down in the Midwest...

Default Thanks Normal

Thanks for the reassurance,

I am going to call and find out nearby hotels and see how much a car will cost for the trip. Still hoping I can convince one of my training partners to come along but now I believe I will go alone if I have to.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I wanted to let you know that a friend and I may the 8-9 hour trip to see Ajarn Chai. You were right well worth the effort. Kru Norm and the other folks at Sparmax are great (as were everyone I met last weekend). They have a great facility too.

I appreciated your input earlier. Now I have to plan for Ottawa in October

Good to hear about your 8-9 hour trip was worth it Caddock. I'll bet your ass was a little sore afterwards though.
