Heh, ok, for all those of you that have been to Bangkok do any of you know of any good bars that play alot of relatively NEW hard rock? I know this might seem wierd me asking this here but I can't think of anywere else to ask. I'm going nuts listening to the same techno crap everywere I go, I'd like to visit a bar I can just relax and listen to good new rock or even a good band. Don't even suggest hard rock cafe because that place is ful of old geezers and all they play is old rock. The only place I've been that has a pretty good band is CM2 but they play a couple of linkin park songs only.... I'm looking for a good bar that plays lots of rock. Does a place like this exist in Bangkok?
I'm looking forward to seeing Korn in concert here in February. Damian Mavis Honour TKD |

Damian,
What's all this about hangin' out in bars? Aren't you supposed to be in training? Just because you're bigger than they are, doesn't mean you get a free ride, you know. Get some CD's. Training, young man! No booze, no drugs, early to bed, etc. Like my old man used to say; "Son, always be sure to be in bed by midnite at the latest. If you're not, just go on home!"

haha I had to read that last line a couple of times, funny!
I don't drink, smoke or even take aspirin... never have, but I like hard rock and it's in serious shortage in this city. Right now I am not training seriously, still trying to hook up a couple of other things, if they don't work out then I will start training seriously. Damian Mavis Honour TKD |

Rock bars? If you’re looking for music after a workout, it shouldn’t be rock. Go to Saxophone at the Victory Monument between Phaya Thai and Din Daeng. If you’ve got strength left to rock go back to the gym or jogging at Lumphini Park.

Hahaha I've just read my reply back, Strapping Young Lad is a Band fronted by Devin Townsend. Its ultra heavy, great for working out to. Also Black Label Society with Zakk Wydle.

HA! Well that's good, I though you were suggesting I get take out of the male variety...ewww.
You guys are so funny, there is more to Thailand than Muay Thai! haha I'm here to teach TKD and get into movies with pro fighting the fall back plan if the other 2 plans don't work out. I might fight a bit even if the other stuff works out but not as much if it didnt work out. So I'm only training part time right now and doing heavy weight training. Saxophone club? I guess they play jazz? Yikes, I need ROCK to pump me up! Thanks anyway! Maybe I'll go check it out with my older friends sometime. Damian Mavis Honour TKD |
