Don't get me wrong, I don't think of you as some fat German tourist. As someone who has been here a brief period, you should be able to understand alot of my apprehension towards others who have just moved here. I've litereally seen a few hundred guys who claim they live here and then after 6 months, they're on the plane home.

-I'm all hooked up for my Visa and work permit and teaching TKD and getting into movies, I think you know that in this country: it's all about who you know.

It's more about how much you can pay!

-I do want to fight but it takes a backseat to movies and making money.... I can't put off those 2 things much longer as I'm 30 now. If I fight it will be periodically until I totally give up on movies so getting injured won't sabotage any work I get in that field. Last time I fought I could barely walk for a week and had injuries for months after... that would be a problem if I'm expected to do a flip and flying sidekick shortly after a fight.

Like I told you before, making money here fighting is not going to happen unless you are a top-level fighter like JWP or Dekker. Making $100 is alot for most guys fighting here. Making money in movies is also a longshot but probably a hell of alot better than fighting. I am involved in making movies once every few years and with any luck, my buddy who has produced a few movies will be here in Asia, making a martial arts documentary. If so, it's a quick $1000-$2000 for a few days work. Steady movie work is not easy to find here though.

Ya that is why I listed working in movies and fighting as seperate entities to MAKING MONEY haha. They have nothing to do with money, I teach TKD for a living, but they are fun and something I still think is exciting even though my friends that do it all seem to hate it... but they keep doing it!

I'm here for the long haul man, I risked alot and sacrificed alot to get here, I simply cannot walk away until I fulfill all my dreams, there is nothing for me back home anymore. My life is here.

You should learn the techniques, then go to Lumpini Stadium, ask people that work there, about the champions and where they train at.

Yeah, they filmed parts of the Medalion (Jackie Chan) in Bangkok, and every foreigner and their mother turned up for the audition. I spent a whole day watching foreigners try out for the part of an extra, none of which actually appeared in the movie. It's not impossible, but it's not going to be easy. Best of luck to you in starting your new life in Thailand.

Hey it's funny you should bring up the Medallion, 3 of my friends got small roles in the medallion. Actually they get alot of roles here in Thailand, I plan on getting in on their action real soon.

They are all bad guys, which is usually the case. The scenes I remember vaguely: Eric is standing behind someone looking tough in a suit when they are told to go look for people on the docks/warf thingy. Don throws a sidekick at one of the heroes and gets knocked out and lies there during the fight scene between the 2 girls. I forget Davids scene.

These guys all got good roles in Ong Bak too if you know that movie, Eric was the fighter who got knocked out with a single knee to the face by Jah, and David played "bear" who had a huge fight scene in the Koh San road bar smashing all kinds of objects over Jah, Don was in a few little scenes and threw a flying sidekick at Jah and pulled the fat funny hero up on a rope.

David and Eric and Rocco and a bunch of other guys got roles in Alexander recently.... I frickin missed out on that one, it was a huge movie directed by Oliver Stone and starring Colin Ferrel... man I'll never forgive myself for not getting in on that, I had just arrived in Thailand when they were doing casting and wasn't organised enough to get started. Rocco even got to be bodyguard for Oliver Stone for a few days, pretty kool.
