Krabi-Krabong in the US?
Greetings,
I am looking for schools in the US that teach Krabi-Krabong. I have only been able to locate one such school in TX with Arjarn Jason Webster. I have also found a list of Krabi-Krabong Instructors in the world from The http://www.usmta.com/thai-weapons.htm For Sash Levels: Gold Sash 9th Degree. Arjarn Tony Moore (From England). Gold Sash 8th Degree. Arjarn Michael Delio (From USA). Arjarn Pedro Solana Villalobos (From USA). Gold Sash 7th Degree. Arjarn Steven Wilson (From USA). Gold Sash 6th Degree. Arjarn Jason Webster (First American to qualify as a Gold Sash) Arjarn Arland Sanford (From USA). Arjarn Vincent Giordano (From USA). Arjarn Klaus Handke-Prompan (From Germany). I don't know how old the list is but its about all the informaion I have right now If any one here could point me in the right direction I would be appreciative. I am looking for a school to study at so I need some kind of contact information. I live in NC right now but I am hoping to move to a Krabi-Krabong school after I talk with and visit some. One of the best resources in the US is Vincent Giordano. His research is unparalleled and will be the focus of several of his upcoming books. He has at the moment one of the top krabi krabong people from Thailand in NYC with him. His focus is on combative functional usage as opposed to physical education which alot of the material out there is aimed for to be taught in public schools and universities. He has a closed door school and has been living for a good part of the last few years in Southeast Asia completing his video and books. Another good choice is Arlan Sanford can be reached through the dogbrothers website, www.dogbrothers.com and of course Stephen Wilson as well. The Buddhai Sawan method is just one of the major known schools of krabi krabong in thailand and not the only school by any means. Pedro Villalobos is currently in thailand and I think M. Deleo is in California. Sorry I couldnt be more help, maybe others including Stephen can help further.

Hey everybody,
just an information. The leading Krabi Krabong authority in Thailand is Grandmaster Vichit Cheechern.  I donīt know so much about Krabi Krabong in the US. But I have been in contact with Ajarn Vincent Giordano and Ajarn Arlan Sanford before. So I would recommend them. Best regards Guido |
