hello,

so there it is morkul. as far as certification, such certifications are individualized endorsements between instructor and candidate. an analogy would be the black belt given in jiujitsu.

such things are subjective. each instructor has thier idea about what they expect from the candidate (and might not be grading each candidate on the same criteria).

the bottom line is this. when you are qualified to train others you will know. sounds nebulous, agreed, but it is true.

if you are not qualified, you will know.

if you really want to increase your skills, knowledge and "qualification", go to thailand. seems monumental to undertake, but it is doable.

you don't have to go for years at a time. do one or two months a year, fight your ass off while there, and do this for several years.

if your location/situation precludes this, you must decide what you really want from life. not attempting to preach. it is a simple truism. if you genuinely want to train and train others, go do it. if you like the life you have, enjoy it, enjoy the training you have recieved.

decide. every version of life has rewards and drawbacks. pick yours. and do it right, whatever you decide.

thanks.

Well spoken friend. Spoken like a true warrior. The difference between a warrior and a fighter is the warrior knows the way to go and the fighter merely charges forward attacking.

Default Certification in Muay Thai

Morkul,
There is a TBA school in AZ called Elite Muay Thai. They are listed in TBA school listings on this site. Perhaps that would be a good place to start. Although certification is not as important as fighting to some it is to others. Each has it's benefits. I know many really great fighters that are just not good teachers and vise versa. If you are serious about certification and training again you should get to a TBA school and have them assess your skill level and knowledge and get on a course towards certification with the TBAUSA. Try to contact Elite Muay Thai and see if they will help you train for your certification. By the way, I have knocked out people who fought more than 20 fights in Thailand before I ever went there to train or fight. Your training is what you make it. It does help to find a good trainer. Good luck in whatever path it is you choose but I do hope you will choose to move forward in Muay Thai, it is a great art and with hard work and discipline you could be one of the ones that keep this art going and push it forward here in the US. Much success,
Kru Bryan
