Well I recently got motivated enough to try and get back into martial arts after about a four year break. I'm now a senior in high school and not in the greatest shape. I have decent arm strength but that's about it. I only weigh 130 at 5'11" and my endurance is quite lacking, overall. I started some Combat Conditioning exercises recently but I decided to try and get into some classes too, afraid that just doing workouts won't really keep me motivated. When I trained before it was in ninjitsu, aikido, karate, and jujitsu. I trained privately with my sensei and he, obviously, didn't focus on any one martial art. After a bit of research, I think I want to try Muay Thai and see how it works for me. Does anyone know of some decent schools or instructors in the Plano area? Thanks for the help.

Well I did some more research on my own since posting this and found the Janjira Muay Thai Kick Boxing school. I can't find a website but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. It's the only one I can find right now so I'll probably be checking it out. Any other suggested schools are welcome as well. Thanks.

I don't think I have ever in my life seen someone from Plano asking for a good Muay Thai school! Dude, Saekson Janjira is a 6-time world champion! Here's the school's website: http://www.saekson.com/home.htmNot only is that the best Muay Thai school in Texas... it's one of the best in the United States! Now get down there and sign up right now! I would give anything to be able to train at that school

Our Muay Thai school is also located in Plano, TX. Not that far from Saekson's gym.
Check our website: www.ndbjj.com and email siamstar@comcast.net if you have more questions. |
