There are several routes to take. I myself have no feeling in my shins anymore because when they started to hurt I kept on hitting the bag, pads and shin on shin sparring. I have known others that stop every time their shins hurt and start hitting again once they have healed. The only problem is that it keeps on coming back. The calcium deposits (bumps) are normal also; it is the body’s way of strengthening the shin.
