I read a post by Muay Siam describing a basic in MT called "Stepping in three zones". I 've been in MT for almost 2 years and have never heard of this. I know we have several instructors on here, can you explain this to me. I'd hate to skip a basic fundamental like this.

suksun's correct
yang sam khum is a method of stepping for defending, attacking, and evading. there are three angles, your current position, foward to the right, and foward to the left, creating a triangle trapping your opponent in your path. stepping is by lifting your shin to guard and stomping in each step both ways. this stepping method is mostly used to intimidate your opponent, to take controle of the game. nowadays it's almost only being used in wai kru rituals...pity. you can also do the yang sam khum within your mind, for explanations i think you may ask suksun, he should know the same. |

Thanks,
Can you guys post maybe some photos or video showing these techniques? If not, maybe a detailed explanation of the yang sam khum. Thanks again.
