VS. ![]() [ Sagat vs Adon :: Muay Thai Battle ] [ Stats ] Sagat According to his official biography, Sagat was born in Thailand on July 2, 1955. He stands 226 cm (7'5") and weighs 109 kg (240 lbs). He is skilled at free diving, and can hold his breath for 20 minutes. His blood type is B. He likes strong opponents, and dislikes people who do small things. Sagat won the title of God of Muay Thai from Nuah Kahn as a teenager. He defended his title from a Muay Thai fighter named Go Hibiki, in a match that cost Sagat the use of his right eye and Go his life. Go's son, Dan Hibiki, swore revenge on Sagat. Sagat trained Adon, and held the first World Warrior tournament. Only one fighter managed to reach Sagat: A karate practitioner named Ryu. Sagat practically crushed the young man, and when he felt the battle had been won, he reached down to help him up. Rather than accept defeat, Ryu thrust himself up, fist-first, and struck Sagat across the chest, leaving a ragged scar. Little did Sagat know that the scar on his chest, at that time, was a result of Ryu nearly killing Sagat with a Gou Shouryuken. Adon mocked his teacher for losing to a boy and challenged him for the title of God of Muay Thai. His rage blinded him, and Sagat lost to Adon, but not before beating him so hard that he would be in traction for four months. Consumed with rage and hatred, Sagat eagerly joined Shadoloo, M. Bison's organization, to find Ryu and get a rematch to reclaim his shattered honour. During his tenure in Shadoloo, Sagat fought Dan Hibiki, and saw how anger can make people do things they regret, so he allowed Dan to defeat him, and then quit Shadoloo. However, when he tendered his resignation, M. Bison presented him with a brainwashed Ryu, and told him he could have the rematch he always wanted. Not wanting it that way, Sagat still fought Ryu, but only to break M. Bison's mind control, yelling at Ryu that a true warrior would not give in to such treachery. Ryu snapped out, and they drove Bison off. Sagat then told Ryu that they both needed training before they could properly rematch. Sagat finally knew that there is limits to a particular rivalry. Sagat was invited to the second World Warrior tournament, although he didn't earn the right to fight Ryu. Sagat currently trains, awaiting the day when he and Ryu will cross paths, and they can finally fight properly, and Sagat can regain his honour. Adon According to his official biography, Adon was born in Thailand, with no year or date specified, but he 5-7 years younger than Sagat. He stands 182 cm (5'11") and weighs 73 kg (161 lbs). He is skilled at wai kru, a Thai dance, and likes Muay Thai. He dislikes Sagat and people with big mouths. Adon became Sagat's student three years after Sagat became God of Muay Thai. Frequently likened to a "lesser version of Sagat," even though he strived to differentiate himself with more acrobatic techniques, Adon entered his World Warrior tournament to prove he was more than that. The cocky Adon let his guard down when he faced Ryu, who took him out with a single Shoryuken. Adon was not mad at Ryu for defeating him and Sagat, he was mad at Sagat for being unable to uphold Muay Thai's honour. He challenged Sagat for the title of God of Muay Thai and won, but the enraged Sagat had done so much damage to him in the fight that Adon had to be hospitalized for months. When he was on his feet again, Adon heard that a mysterious fighter had killed one of his challengers, using the same power that Ryu had used to defeat Sagat. Adon swore to find the stranger and take his power for his own. To this day, it is believed that Adon still seeks him out. I VOTE FOR ADON!

Well. If you look at uhh, Adon's stance. He is in the "grandmaster" stance of muay thai haha, err well. You can look at the thread about "stepping in 3 zones" if you follow the link that the 3rd guy to reply? said, Adon is doing that stance.. so iunno. The bigger they are the harder they fall right?

That scar on Sagat's chest was not caused by Ryu's shoryuken technique, but rather by Kenshin Himura's Ama Kakeru Ryu No Hirameki -- the succession technique of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu's School Of The Sword.
Just kidding. I used to be good playing Sagat back in the Street Fighter 2 heyday. When Street Fighter Alpha 3 was released, I never gave much time to playing Adon. Akuma was a much better character to use, especially with the cheap "Raging Demon" technique -- saps away 60% of the opponent's life gauge. I'll give the battle to the one who spends a majority of the time playing either character in the video game. |

Adon has the ability to back you into a corner and not let you up. Any good Adon player looks for a moment to get close and doesn't let up till the round is over. Any good sagat player....uh...he uh....Are there good sagat players out there? Well he could blast you with his multi-level-lowtier-"i-can-see-it-comming-a-mile-away-and-i-will-punish-you-for-it" fireball. And after that he has....um? A shotokan mymicing uppercut?
Adon>Sagat (thought sagat is much taller) |

Yeah so I played Capcom Vs. SNK yesterday
I must say, King is fcuking amazing. Her Muay Thai skillz are 1337. The gay guy though.. I can't remember his name, im thinking Higashi.. I dont rememebr who Joe is. (Unless it's Joe Higashi, I really don't remember) anyway I didnt like him too much, his knee attacks were alright, but king was the best. Adon > King > Sagat > Rest of SNK
