what is the most competitive weight class?
Probably light heavyweight? or featherweight?
That's the distance you'd have to move your pinky in order to not sound like an idiot. I know the burden of pressing shift to capitalize is a great one, but c'mon, you can do better than that. I used to type emails in caps like yours, but then I decided that I didn't want a job mixing concrete.
I don't know what it is called, but I think the hardest class to fill is in the 125-130 pound range. The reason I say this is because whenever anyone calls me needing fighters, that is the weight they seem to be looking for. Also, several years ago I could have gotten numerous fights for the fighter/friend I was helping to promote (without help from his instructor, so that ended as a wash) around the world, including a shot at a title fight in Europe. This probably does not hold true for Thailand, where they have a plethora of light (weight) fighters.Just my opinion, and a chance to use the word plethora.
Hey chalambok, how's the competition for welterweight and light heavyweights?
I'd imagine that those two weight classes are probably the most competitive. I don't know which Organization the original poster is asking, but I think welterweight usually falls within the range of 148-156lbs, while light heavyweight falls within the range of 176-184lbs.
I'd guess that most people who slim down to really low bodyfat % end up at 150 something if they are medium framed and 180 something if they are bigger than average framed.

Certainly the most competitive weight class should be the one with the most entrants, although this is not necessarily the truth. That being said, more athletes of high school age are in the 150-160 pound range. I have no idea about college.
