After visiting Duane Ludwig's website, I saw an announcement of his upcomming fight with THE Ramon Dekker! It is July 20th, in the superfight on the K-1 MAX card. I have seen Duane's fight with Alex Gong, and was very impressed, but I have also seen Ramond Dekker's fights, and man, that dude can throw down! I am sure that since this bout is sanctioned by K-1, it probably will not be traditional Muay Thai rules. What do you all think?

I wonder what effect that had on Mr. Ludwig. After all, they were peers to some degree.

Wow! I dont think its going to be televised though, sure hope it will be. I thought Dekker wasnt fighting anymore. He's been at 200 fights for quite a while now. Has Dekker been fighting, or is he coming out of some kind of retirement?

Hey swisscom I really don't like it when you talk about my uncle like that. I thought I already discussed this topic in 1 of the "TRAINING IN THAILAND" topics. It is true that he is my uncle and I get to train with him, Ramon is going to have his hands full because my uncle is going to beat a legend to become a legend. When my rounds are up I watch my uncle train with one of his trainers and my uncle kicks really really hard and it is so loud when he hits the Thai pads and he has a large variety of combos. There are some training pics of me on his site and I am wearing the blueish-green shorts which my uncle wore in K-1 when he beat 1 of Ramon's training partners William Diender.

P.S. Has anybody seen the K-1 World Max 2005 video game at d3publisher.com it has a picture of my uncle on the second collum then click on the upper right yellow square. And also those are the shorts he gave me.

Hey Muay Thai Guy,
I don't think anybody here wanted to offend you or Duane. Everybody has their opinions on who would win and the Dekker's fans are hardcore, so don't take it personnaly. One of Ramon's video clips is on this forum, posted by Tim Mousel. Check it out. I think Ramon had more power in his prime, look at what he did to Pena, but now I don't know where his skills are. I know that he is a straight foward and very agreessive fighter, with tons of power and a pretty solid chin.

From the fights I have seen from Duane, he posseses a lot of what Ramon had in the earlier years. I think Duane has an innate ability to see things comming and react or counter. That's a hard attriubute to defeat, let alone acquire. I know he has power, but I haven't seen it at the level at to which Ramon throws, but then again I haven't seen all of Duane's Muay Thai matches, only a few.

I hope Duane is having fun at Ole's gym there in Thailand.

I am not mad I was just making a point and BANG is truly into this fight and he looks very determind. I can see my uncle taking out Ramon with leg kicks just how Kohi did a while back. And besides the point I wonder who is going to win the K-1 World Max but I'm going to half to go with Buakaw Por. Pramuk because he has crazy Thai skills just like BANG.

Buakaw ROCKS! I can't wait to see the World Max. I have '04 on tape and Buakaw is the shiz! I liked the fight w/ J.W. Parr quite well because their styles are similar. The extra round was ballz out.
