Just a quick question, and I apologize if it's been asked before.
The style that he performs in Ong Bak, is it considered Muay Thai or Krabi Krabong? Minus all of the flips and twirls of course. |

From a strictly historical perspective, if you are studying Krabi-Krabong, part of your study will include muay Thai. Whereas if you are in a muay Thai class, you will probably never even hear of Krabi-Krabong. In other words, muay Thai is a part of Krabi-Krabong, which is the parent art and contains the child.

And if you want to learn krabi-krabong, Ajarn Chalambok is the man. Go see him for a private and you will get more krabi-krabong training than you will know what to do with.

I've done exactly 1 day of krabi-krabong, with Ajarn Chai and "little Chai". It was pretty cool though.
I just saw the movie this weekend, and it redefines "over the top", entertaining.
