    Default Surfer fight

Any of you seen that fight clip of some dude getting the crap beat out of him on the beach? The dude who dishes out the punishment looks like he has some skill on the ground. He takes the other guy down and then pounds away. Any of you know the story behind this fight clip? Iwould post it on here but it's too big of a file.

I couldn't even FIND this surfer fight.

That's the distance you'd have to move your pinky in order to not sound like an idiot. I know the burden of pressing shift to capitalize is a great one, but c'mon, you can do better than that. I used to type emails in caps like yours, but then I decided that I didn't want a job mixing concrete.

Your talking about the fight on the north shore a good 3 years ago (iirc). I think it was Kala giving the beating, to a texan who had some mental handicap. The texan deserved the beating in the water, swinging at the water patrol (who was trying to get him out of a contest for bodyboarders at pipe, where this guy had his surfboard and thought he owned the place). But the beating on land was pretty bad and unnecessary. Not to mention they broke his board.

As for the fight, on the land it was skilled when he mounted, but his shoot was very foreseeable and avoidable. Kala (if it was him, maybe I just think of his name cause he's part of the wolfpack and Hui) was lucky he didn't take a knee to the face. Or get sprawled and then stomped. If you want to know more go to the surfermag forum and do some searches. Good luck, thats some old stuff (and the forums move fast). Use + and - to help limit the search.

And the video is on surfermag also. Definately in the forums. It's a good example of what the texan should have done when Kala bent at the waist and charged for a good 2 or 3 seconds in the sand. He possibly could have sidestepped and landed a punch to the back of Kala's head, or even just dropped all his weight into an elbow onto the back of Kala's head/his spine immediatly below (but then he would be on the ground also, so if he missed it would be bad as all the boys take BJJ, as you could see by the mount of pound, and the bad shoot).

Heres a newer thread. Theres older ones too (back when it happened). Don't think the link works anymore, but it'll help you google better to know what to search for. And appearently it was Kala.
