![]() | A little over a month ago I decided I was going to give Muay Thai a shot. I went to my first class (Loved it) and that very same weekend I sprained my ankle pretty bad. Doctors advice was to stay off it for 2 weeks and take it easy for a while. It's been a month now that I haven't done anything except walk on it. It feels okay now, but it's still a little sore and weaker then it was. I'm just wondering if I should give it more time or should be good to start training? Has anyone else had this happen to them? |

![]() | I haven't had a sprained ankle, but I have had some injuries from MT that have lasted a bit. I just take it easy on that part of my body that is injured, sometimes ask others to take it easy on it and continue training. If my shin is bruised and swollen I still go, I just wrap it and pad it, etc.. If the effected area bcomes bothersome during training then go lighter if you can or take a break. You could also do a follow up with your doctor and see what his advice is... just my $.02 |
