Man, I'm so jealous. Are you going to do any training? Business or vacation?

Just got back today from Thailand, I had a really good time, two nights in Bangkok an eight nights in Hua Hin.
Trained in a gym down there called "Thai Boxing Garden", it was awesome, the people there were friendly and very helpful.
The promoters where a Mr.Chop and Mr.Noi, dont know there full names.
Definately going back soon.

And I also learnt how a gentleman can make small fortune in Bangkok, ............go across with a large one.

Yea you can go train there for a little as one day. That is what I did on my last trip. Each stop I found a camp and trained for a day. That was cool because I was able to see how the different camps train and the different styles form the north and the south.

is lanna located a bit north of chaing mai or is it central?

dads house is about half hour north of chaing mai. last itme i went we went to local village (where they had a ring) and watched a night of 14 year old matches. was pretty amazing seeing them kick, knee and elbow each other in the head..

Wow thats nutty!

I am going to Chiang Mai in April for a month to scout out some schools (I want to teach English there for a year or two after I finish my degree) and to train, which I am so psyched for.

Gunza, do you have any suggestions for good boxing camps? Money isnt really an issue as the exchange rate favors us (Canadians) tremendously.

Thanks,
D-rokk

The camp is located on Soi Changkian, which runs off of Huay Kaew road, a major road running from Doi Suthep (the main mountain) to the city centre. It's in the same neigbourhood as Chiang Mai University, in the north west corner of the city. It's not exactly city centre, but not far away either. If you've got access to a car or a scooter, 30 minutes is no problem.

I'm trying to remember the highway north to Chiang Rai... beautiful area, especially once you get into the hills, but that might be a bit further north than 30 minutes.

Yeah, the temple festivals in the small villages are great!
