Default Muay Thai Teacher Day

I recently read a thread or on a web site some place that said Muay Thai Teacher Day is coming up soon. Can anybody tell me what the date is. For some reason I think it is today.

In the beginning, there was the rock, or the club; anything to gain an advantage against the larger, stronger opponent. And so it began, the going out to do battle and the return of the victor who then taught his children or fellow tribesmen how he did it, the moves he used, the strategies he employed. And into the mind came the first glimmer of freedom from tyranny and abuse, the belief that with a little knowledge and planning and a lot of hard work the small and downtrodden could fight and become free. So the lessons were continually taught, and as the enemy learned also there came the need for an organized teaching method, a way to continue without forgetting past learned lessons, a system. This system came to represent the entire culture, and even contributed their name, the free people, the Thai. And the name of the fighting system, muay Thai, which today we translate as free fighting, also can be translated as fight to be free, its relevance never diminished. To be honored as a teacher of muay Thai is to join our prehistory, our desires, our very humanity. We yearn to be free, yet freedom is not free. Teacher Day is when we honor not only those who gave their very lives so we could be here today, but also those who continue this legacy, who innovate and grow while holding true to the basics of combat. But more than that we honor ourselves. Freely giving our respect acknowledges our place within the scheme of totality, the never-ending struggle against the dark. And it also acknowledges that someday we, too, hope to be remembered in the pantheon of teachers, for having dedicated ourselves to growth, for daring to be free.
