Default Taking punches to the stomach?

Hey, I haven't started any Muay Thai training or anything but I heard on a website that it is good to hang from a pull-up bar and have somebody punch you in the stomach to learn how to take hits. Is this good to do to condition myself? Thanks!

No, that would be dumb. Join a gym and learn to spar - you'll get hit plenty and you'll learn how to avoid taking hits while you're at it.

However, I also could use some practice hitting people who hang from the ceiling, so call me too.
