Lightbulb Jumping Rope

I hear that there are footwork skills one can work on durring a jump-rope session. Do you guys know of any methods of using a jump-rope that work on anything besides stamina (from just jumping up and down over and over)?

Gracias.

Jumping rope is more than just a stamina exercise. It helps keep you light on your feet so you can move quickly and helps with balance and weight distribution.

So what kind of jump roping can I do to better myself, should I just mix it up randomly and go back and forth on different feet and do doubles and stuff? Or, are there certain ways of jumping rope that help certain skills more than what I'm doing now.

You can do several things...single legs, side to side (side hops), back and forth (switching feet), squats, etc...

Default there are 97 ways to jump rope

not including jumping up and down stairs, jumping onto and off of curbs, jumping on a trampoline, jumping while running or jogging. There is also a previous thread with tons of information.
