I don't have much in the way of info on him either. I used to have a copy of his fight with Roufus, but I made the mistake of lending it out and it was never returned.

I know that he was also fighting in Japan K-1 tourney's in the mid and late 90's, but I don't know where to dig up any copies of those fights.

Has a few of him. Search through his clips, there is like 200 of them or so.

Default Roufus vs. Kiatsongrit

Here it is. This was back when Roufous was a full-contact karate guy and hadn't made the transition to muaythai.

The common theme then was "Muaythai has all the same techniques that karate/tkd has. What's so special?"

The fight didn't allow kneeing or clinching, just kicks to the legs, body, head and punching.

Enjoy

I loved that match because at the start, during the 1st two rounds, the commentators were jocking Rick Roufus' nuts! Rick performed a jumping back kick that landed on Kiatsongrit's belly, and the announcers were like "Kiatsongrit has never felt power like THAT before!!!!!" Mind you, they seem to have missed the fact that Kiatsongrit totally shrugged it off and kept coming.

However, in about round 3 they started to see the light... "Rick Roufus needs to figure out how to deal with those kicks to the legs...."

LOL
