Thailand is about 4% Muslim, most Thai Muslims do live in the far south, near the Malaysian border. There has been some tension between the Muslim community and the government, recently some violence.

I don't know anything about Thai Muslims in Muay Thai.

no, i like muslims alot actually and have been growing more and more interested in learning about islam. the reason i ask is because i wanted to know if islam and muay thai had any kind of relation to one another. muay thai has usually been associated with buddhism, so i was wondering if islam and muslims have any role in muay thai.

I am a Muslim (non observant though) and I have been training in Muay Thai for more than 17 years. As far as I know I have never heard or knew Muay Thai and Islam have any sort of connection.
