I have been training Thai boxing and BJJ for years...and i by now i think my hands and feet have reached the point where they must be registered with the Government as "deadly Weapons"...
Does anybody know where I can do this? How much is the processing fee etc...... thank you................... |

There's no such thing. The old story of the martial artist whose hands are "registered" as "deadly weapons" is a myth. Seriously, what would be the point? Why would somebody sign an affidavit ahead of time that they are capable of inflicting unarmed deadly force? How would the state prove that you had reached the level of ass-kicking ability that you needed to register? Your pocketknife is ten times deadlier than your hands will ever be, and you don't need to even show ID when you buy it, much less register it with anybody. Don't worry about "registering." You'll be fine.

Would you have to get a concealed carry permit if you were to wear mittens?

I would recommend against it.
I went to the DMV a few years back to register my hands and legs as deadly weapons. The actual cost depends on your state and how deadly you actually are. I live in CA, and I can pop an eyeball out with a single blow - so needless to say, it was pretty costly. But the worst part is the fact that I had to renew every year. It actually got more expensive after the third year, when I finally became able to kick down banana trees with by bare shins, so I just ignored the renewal notices after that. Now I don't have registration anymore, which is good because I don't have to pay the fees every year. But it also means I can't get into any fights, because if I accidentally kill someone, and they find out that my deadly fists aren't registered, then I'll be looking at a BIG fine ($356 for a first time offender). Had I never registered to begin with, the man would have been none the wiser, I would have more money in my pocket, AND I would be able to kill again with no liability. Hope this helps, Flip |

My limbs are registered deadly weapons, i once held up a bank with just my bare hands, the worst part was though i had to burn all the evidence...
