Default Muay Thai in Massachusetts

Does anyone have any information about the instuctors at Boston Muay Thai and Wai Kru MMA in Boston? I know Sityodtong is a great school but I need a school that has day and evening classes. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

Default Wai Kru is real deal

I have trained at both of those other gyms, and I currently train at Wai Kru. Both of the other places are great and all, but I get much more personal attention at Wai Kru than I ever got at the other two places combined. The head instructor there is John, but there is a guy named Mark that also in a teracher and he trained with Kru Phil Nurse and under Master Sken for MAny many years, and there is also a K-1 fighter there that is an instructor as well and also trains to fight. There is also a 5 time Brazilian Chute Box Muay Thai Champion that is an instructor.

John works with each of his students and develops a personal training routine for each person specific to that person.

When I went to Sityadtong I hardly ever saw Kru Mark D. or even got any real one on one time with out having to pay extra money for it.

At Wai Kru I only pay $85 a month and can come as many times a day I want. They are open from noon til 10 pm so it always fits my schedule. They also show all the Pay Per View fights there on a HUGE screen.

But training aside, the actual place is much bigger than the other places and has lots of weights and equipment, oh yeah and they have an octagon.

2 man enter, one man leave ...lol

Well, hope that helps you out some. Im not saying dont check out the other places, but i am saying Wai Kru is where I chose to be.

Thank you for the info! The guy named Mark thats the instructor there, is his last name Meltzer? I remember there was a Muay Thai school in Cambridge named Sitnarong(sp?) and heard this person was an instructor there. I think the trainers for that school were under Phil Nurse.

He is Scottish and didnt train under Phil Nurse, but actually developed techniques and trained along side him. He trained originally under master sken. I dont believe his last name is Meltzer, I think it actually starts with an N.

But the head instructor there lived in Thailand for a few years and actually speaks thai.

Thanks man! I think his last name is Nardone(sp?). He must be good if he trained under master Sken for a long time. I'll check it out. Thanks again.

I've been taken MuayThai in Billerica for a few week now. I really like it.

Default Wai Kru Instructors

Kru Mark Nardone is the Scotsman you speak of. He did train alongside Kru Phil Nurse with Master Sken in England. He and Marc Meltzer had a gym some years ago affiliated with Kru Phil/Khai Muay LugSitnarong. John I have only met recently, but seems to be a good person. A real gentleman and quite knowledgable. I would highly recommend Kru Nardone if you have the chance to train with him.

Marc Meltzer was training/teaching at SitYodTong for a time, but I don't know if that's still the case. He's also quite skilled.
