how would u rank the MUAY THAI programs throughout Orange County, california the places i know that teach muay thai are: APEX JIUJITSU - mission viejo - www.apexjiujitsu.com OC MUAY THAI - santa ana / costa mesa - www.ocmuaythai.com NO LIMITS - irvine - www.nolimitsmma.com no limits is an MMA school and it has a program under colin oyama. and OCMT is a muay thai only school. apex is a no-gi jiujitsu school with a muay thai program taught by jeremy williams. anyone with experience in more than one of these gyms? how would u rank the MUAY THAI taught at each (ignoring the BJJ programs at each) what other schools have a muay thai program in the area? that have a class that is specifically for muay thai and separate from the jiujitsu classes i know there is ockickboxing www.ockickboxing.com and ocjiujitsu www.ocjj.com but they do not set out a class specifically separate for muay thai (ockb combines muay thai with jkd and savate) (and ocjj has an "mma" class that supposedly includes elements of muay thai combined with wrestling and jiujitsu) |

OC Muay Thai is a traditional Thai-style gym where hard work, sweat and pain are the first part of the work out, and then form and technique are the second. Morning and evening classes Monday thru Saturday I think. It smells like a Thaiboxing gym. The first time I went there were dried patches of puke in the parking lot--a sign that they work hard. Instruction is good, and you can learn something no matter what level you are. they plumb a lot and do a lot of Thai-style timing in class. I give it a big thumbs up.

Master Chai used to work his people so hard that they threw up, or to put it another way, he wasn't satisfied until they did, which led to things like drinking a gallon of orange juice before working out so they could throw it up and keep on going.
