adam02 is on a distinguished road
Default A bit concerned with my physique!

Hey, im new here. Ive just started a Kick Boxing course and il be doing my 4th week tomorrow night.

I enjoy alot and ive been doing jump rope, stretching etc at home.

I'm about 5'10-11" and i weigh approximately 165 lbs.

I have got excess body fat. I have worked out a bit at home.

What kind of potential do i have generally?

Am i too short?

btw im turning 18 in may. thanks.

5'10-11" is average height; not too tall but not too short.

Height and weight don't matter so much as skills and conditioning. Look at the muaythai fighter Ramon Dekkers from The Netherlands.

He stands at 5'6" and weighs 130-ish. He's won alot of fights by knockout against some of the best in Thailand.

He's got knockout power in both fists and both feet.

Its hard to imagine that you'd be fat at 165....that's kind of lean. You must not workout at all if you have excess body fat at a weight of 165...

Eh, its only your 4th week.... Give yourself time. You can spend up to the better part of the entire first year merely getting in shape for MuayThai, though it doesn't sound like you're that much out of shape.

Wait until you've begun some advanced level training and sparring before worrying about whether or not you have any chance to succeed.
